Quattro Canti Denominata, Vigliena, dal nome del vicerè spagnolo sotto cui terminò la sua prima sistemazione nel 1620, resa necessaria in seguito all'apertura di via Maqueda, nel 1600. L'incrocio che si venne a creare, tra via Maqueda e via Vittorio Emanuele, portò alla suddivisione della città in quattro parti detti "Mandamenti".
